Medieval

The medieval period bridges the gap between the ancient and modern periods. The Roman Empire fell in 476 CE, and the Turks overran Constantinople in 1453 CE. So, some historians regard the Middle Ages as beginning with the collapse of the Roman Empire and running to the fall of Constantinople. Others do not.

Further subdivided into:
Early: 476-1000
High: 1000-1299
Low: 1300-1453

For the immediate future, I will concentrate on the Low Middle Ages.
